Who We Are

A Century in the Same Family

State Brass Foundry & Machine opened in 1919 and never left the family. Five generations later, we're still standing over the same kind of furnaces, pouring the same honest brass and bronze that earned us the nickname “The Little Giant” — a small shop that consistently punches above its weight.

We do something most foundries can't: cast, machine, and finish a part all under one roof. That means tighter tolerances, faster turnarounds, and a single team accountable for your part from molten metal to finished piece.

  • Sand casting from ounces to hundreds of pounds
  • Centrifugal casting for bushings, sleeves, and rings
  • 90+ brass, bronze, and specialty alloys
  • In-house CNC and manual machining
  • Pattern making and pattern repair
  • Finishing, polishing, and inspection

Our History

A Legacy Cast Over Generations

  1. 1919

    The Little Giant Is Born

State Brass opens its doors in Utah, pouring brass and bronze for the mines, railroads, and shops of the Intermountain West.

  2. 1950s

    A Second Generation

The family takes the reins for the first of many times, expanding the foundry's alloy capabilities and customer base.

  3. 1980s

    Machining Under One Roof

A full machine shop is added alongside the foundry, letting us cast, machine, and finish parts without ever leaving the building.

  4. Today

    Fifth-Generation Strong

Now run by the fifth generation of the same family, State Brass pours 90+ alloys for customers across the country — one piece or one thousand.
